TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Honouring Our Community, Holding a Safe Space.
The Guidelines That Help Us CONNECT.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

At The CONNECT Initiative, every gathering is built on intention, integrity, and community care. These Terms & Conditions aren’t just fine print — they’re a shared agreement that helps us honour each other, hold safe space, and ensure fairness for everyone who shows up. Whether you're joining us for your first event or have been walking this path with us for a while, we invite you to take a moment to read through the following guidelines.

They've been thoughtfully created to reflect the values that guide CONNECT: transparency, kindness, respect, and accessibility. From ticketing to community etiquette, these terms help us nurture an environment where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.

Thank you for being part of something bigger than a single event — thank you for being part of a movement.

Let’s continue to CONNECT with intention.

1. Pay What Aligns Tickets – Offered with Love

Pay What Aligns Tickets are available to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in our events. Supported by The CONNECT Initiative, these tickets are offered based on the event format and available space.

We are grateful for your support as we strive to make our events accessible to all.

2. Honouring Commitment – No Show Policy

If you purchase a ticket for an event, we kindly ask that you honour your commitment to attend. Should your circumstances change and you are no longer able to join us, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible so that others may have the opportunity to attend. Repeated non-attendance without notice may result in a pause of access to future event tickets. This is because unattended spots prevent others on the waitlist from attending and enjoying the event. This approach helps ensure fairness and respect within our community. Tickets are non refundable or transferable for no shows.

3. Ticket Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

CONNECT Weekly Sessions

We understand that life can be unpredictable. If you’ve purchased a Pay What Aligns ticket and are unable to attend, we are happy to transfer your ticket to the same event at a later date, provided the cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the event. This approach helps ensure fairness and respect within our community, while allowing you to reschedule.  Please let us know as early as possible if you need to cancel or transfer, so we can accommodate your request and offer your spot to someone else.

CONNECT ICONIC Events

If you’ve purchased a CONNECT ICONIC ticket and your plans change, we understand. Refunds are available up to 7 days before the event, allowing us time to offer your place to someone else. If you need to make changes closer to the event, we'll do our best to transfer your ticket to a future event ticket of equal of lesser value. This approach helps us honour your commitment while ensuring the opportunity to CONNECT remains open and fair for all. We appreciate your support in helping us create meaningful, well-attended experiences for our community.

Event Cancellation

If an event is cancelled by us, you’ll receive a 100% refund of your ticket price or the option to transfer your ticket to a future event of equal or lesser value. All event updates and cancellations will be shared through our social media platforms and, where possible, via email or SMS. We encourage you to follow us @theconnectinitiative to stay informed and up to date.

4. Ticket Transfers & Resale

To ensure safety and fairness for our community, tickets are non-transferable and cannot be resold. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket through your Humanitix account so it may be reallocated to someone on the waitlist or within our community.

Only tickets purchased through Humanitix.com or www.theconnectinitiative.com are considered valid. Tickets purchased from third-party sources or resellers may be forged, cancelled, or duplicated, and unfortunately may not guarantee entry to the event.
Refunds will not be issued for any resold or unauthorised tickets, and the CONNECT team reserves the right to refuse entry if a ticket is suspected to be fraudulent or improperly transferred.

4. Filming & Photography – Capturing the Moment

By attending a CONNECT event, you acknowledge that photography and videography may occur. These visuals may be shared across our platforms to celebrate community and promote future events. If you prefer not to be filmed or photographed, please speak with a team member when you arrive—we’ll do our best to respect your wishes.

5. Privacy & Data Respect

Your personal information is collected only to help us stay in touch and share updates. It will never be sold or shared outside of our CONNECT community. By attending, you agree that your contact details may be shared with CONNECT organisers, hosts, facilitators, practitioners, and aligned sponsors for event communications. You can opt out at any time by following the instructions in the communications.  We honour your privacy. We may use the contact details you provide (such as your email address or phone number) to share occasional marketing updates, invitations to future CONNECT events, special offers, or community highlights. These communications will always come from us or our aligned partners—and you can unsubscribe at any time with one simple click. We promise to keep it meaningful, occasional, and never overwhelming.

6. Arrival & Check-In

Please bring your ticket (printed or digital) on the day. Tickets are valid only for the name, date, and time listed. Event staff may ask for ID to confirm your booking. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us create a safe and respectful space for all.
We kindly ask that all attendees arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Our events begin promptly, and arriving early ensures a smooth check-in process and respects the experience of others. Late arrivals may not be admitted once the event has started.

7. Identification & Entry

To help keep our events safe and aligned with the spirit of authenticity, we reserve the right to request valid photo identification at check-in. This helps us ensure that tickets are being used by the named attendee and that each event remains a secure and welcoming space for all. If you're booking on behalf of someone else, please ensure the correct name is on the ticket to avoid any confusion at the door.

Thank you for honouring these shared agreements — together, we create spaces of belonging, safety, and connection. We can’t wait to welcome you in person. See you at the next event.
