TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Honoring Our Community, Holding a Safe Space. The Guidelines That Help Us CONNECT.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

At The CONNECT Initiative, every gathering is built on intention, integrity, and community care. These Terms & Conditions aren’t just fine print — they’re a shared agreement that helps us honour each other, hold safe space, and ensure fairness for everyone who shows up. Whether you're joining us for your first event or have been walking this path with us for a while, we invite you to take a moment to read through the following guidelines.

They've been thoughtfully created to reflect the values that guide CONNECT: transparency, kindness, respect, and accessibility. From ticketing to community etiquette, these terms help us nurture an environment where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.

Thank you for being part of something bigger than a single event — thank you for being part of a movement.

Let’s continue to CONNECT with intention.

1. Community Gift Tickets – Offered with Love

Community Gift Tickets exist thanks to the kindness of individuals within our CONNECT community and our generous partners.
These tickets are made available within 7 days of each event, depending on the support of donors and sponsors, the event format, and the space available.
The number of Community Gift Tickets may vary for each event and is at the discretion of The CONNECT Initiative team. We thank you for your understanding and support.

2. Honouring Commitment – No Show Policy for Community Gift Tickets

If you accept a Community Gift Ticket, we kindly ask that you honour your commitment to attend.
If circumstances change and you can no longer join us, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible so someone else may benefit from this opportunity.
Repeated non-attendance without notice may result in your access to future Community Gift Tickets being paused. You will, of course, still be welcome to join us through a general ticket purchase. This ensures fairness and respect within our generous community.

3. Ticket Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to an event will receive a full refund of the ticket price (excluding booking platform fees and applicable GST).

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of an event may receive a refund or transfer to a future event, at the discretion of the CONNECT team.

  • If an event is cancelled by us, you’ll receive a 100% refund of your ticket price or a transfer to a future event of equal or lesser value.

  • Event updates and cancellations will be communicated via our social media platforms and, where possible, by email or SMS. We encourage you to follow us @theconnectinitiative to stay updated.

4. Filming & Photography – Capturing the Moment

By attending a CONNECT event, you acknowledge that photography and videography may occur. These visuals may be shared across our platforms to celebrate community and promote future events. If you prefer not to be filmed or photographed, please speak with a team member when you arrive—we’ll do our best to respect your wishes.

5. Privacy & Data Respect

Your personal information is collected only to help us stay in touch and share updates. It will never be sold or shared outside of our CONNECT community. By attending, you agree that your contact details may be shared with CONNECT organisers, hosts, facilitators, practitioners, and aligned sponsors for event communications. You can opt out at any time by following the instructions in the communications.  We honour your privacy. We may use the contact details you provide (such as your email address or phone number) to share occasional marketing updates, invitations to future CONNECT events, special offers, or community highlights. These communications will always come from us or our aligned partners—and you can unsubscribe at any time with one simple click. We promise to keep it meaningful, occasional, and never overwhelming.

6. Ticket Transfers & Resale

To ensure safety and fairness for our community, tickets are non-transferable and cannot be resold. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket through your Humanitix account so it may be reallocated to someone on the waitlist or within our community.

Only tickets purchased through Humanitix.com or www.theconnectinitiative.com are considered valid. Tickets purchased from third-party sources or resellers may be forged, cancelled, or duplicated, and unfortunately may not guarantee entry to the event.
Refunds will not be issued for any resold or unauthorised tickets, and the CONNECT team reserves the right to refuse entry if a ticket is suspected to be fraudulent or improperly transferred.

7. Arrival & Check-In

Please bring your ticket (printed or digital) on the day. Tickets are valid only for the name, date, and time listed. Event staff may ask for ID to confirm your booking. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us create a safe and respectful space for all.

8. Identification & Entry

To help keep our events safe and aligned with the spirit of authenticity, we reserve the right to request valid photo identification at check-in.
This helps us ensure that tickets are being used by the named attendee and that each event remains a secure and welcoming space for all.

If you're booking on behalf of someone else, please ensure the correct name is on the ticket to avoid any confusion at the door.
Thank you for supporting our commitment to creating respectful, inclusive, and intentional community spaces.

Thank you for honouring these shared agreements — together, we create spaces of belonging, safety, and connection. We can’t wait to welcome you in person. See you at the next event.
